It was the last AGM as a Board member this year for Mr “Iron Trust” John Needham. We have so much to be thankful to John for; he helped set up the Iron Trust in 2012, becoming our first secretary and forging the model that we have today, with over 1,200 members and a shareholding in the club of 1,160. During his tenure he has had to endure previous club owners who took our club to the brink and he has done so with professionalism and integrity. Although no longer on the Board, he is still a valued member with a great deal of expertise and experience to offer.
The Trust Board marked the occasion with a personal gift from the Board. Tony Gosling presented John with an engraved whiskey tumbler and a mock plaque that represents the plaque that will adorn the SUFC Centenary wall engraved “John Needham, Mr Iron Trust”
