The Iron Bru podcast, the Iron Hour podcast and the Iron Trust are promoting a peaceful unity walk to take place on our final game at Glanford Park against Brackley Town.

We are encouraging all Iron fans and football fans from across the UK to join together at 1.30pm on Saturday 7th October. We will gather at Al-murad Tiles, Scunthorpe, opposite the Berkeley roundabout. We will walk down to Glanford Park for the last time, departing at 2pm. The walk will head down Doncaster Road and finish outside the Iron Bar.

We have gained permission from Al-murad, who have kindly allowed us to use their car park to assemble and have informed Humberside Police of our intentions. The car park will be segregated to protect customers and those attending the walk.

Why are Iron fans coming together?
This is a unity walk to bring the whole Scunthorpe United fanbase together after a time of division and turmoil. This is a celebration of the club and the community it inspires and supports. For decades we have made the pilgrimage to Glanford Park on a Saturday to watch the lads in claret and blue. If this is the last time, let us make it worthy of remembrance.
Everyone is welcome to join in, it’ll be a slow, peaceful affair. Young, old and from any club. Please bring your friends, your banners, your flags and your voices.

The walk will help to raise awareness of the plight of Scunthorpe United Football Club and act as a cautionary tale to other clubs around the UK, without stringent tests and robust measures to vet potential owners, this could all easily happen again.

Scunthorpe United, always
Scunthorpe United will survive as long as there are folk left willing to fight for it. Join us on Saturday, stand side-by-side with your fellow fans, friends and family, and let everyone know that Scunthorpe United still stands. That we stand together.
