What is The Hat-trick Draw?
It is a monthly “drum draw” open to anyone who is over the age of 18. There are 10 standard monthly draws and two grand draws, at Christmas and at the end of the football season. Seventy-five per cent of the money invested in the draw will be returned as prize money. Donations will also be made to local causes.
The prizes
The standard monthly draws will pay out three prizes of £175, £50 and £25. The grand draws at Christmas and at the end of the football season will pay out one prize of £1,000. The values of the prizes are reviewed at the end of each season.
How do you join the draw?
Each draw share is valued at £1 and the minimum monthly investment is for five shares (£5 per month). It is possible to invest in more shares at £1 each per month. Your chosen monthly investment will be made by standing order only by the 15th of each month. We regret we cannot take cash payments as we need to keep recording/accounting as simple and quick as possible. Failure to pay by the due date will invalidate your shares. The draw will be made at the end of each month.
Who runs the draw?
The draw is run under the auspices of the Scunthorpe United Supporters Society (the Iron Trust), which is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. The Society is registered with the local authority and is licensed under the Gambling Act 2005. A sub-group made up of two members of the Trust board and two other members of the Trust will administer and run the draw.
